The Eyes Are The Window

Do people ask you if you are tired or angry? Drooping eyebrows, frown lines, bags under your eyes and wrinkles across the forehead can make you appear this way. Dr. Newall and his staff of medical professionals at The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery are experts in such innovative procedures as the lateral browlift to specifically address such concerns. This facial rejuvenation procedure elevates the lateral component of the brow, avoiding that startled look that can occur with some conventional procedures. The incisions are hidden inside the hairline an dare virtually invisible.

Another innovative technique used to minimize these signs of aging is the endoscopic browlift. The endoscope is a camera that helps guide the surgeon in repositioning the forehead muscles. With the endoscope, three or more small incisions are made just at the hairline or in the upper forehead wrinkle. This technique also results in minimal scarring. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Germán Newall will determine where the incisions are placed depending upon the position of your hairline. The browlift also elevates the eyebrows and helps to minimize the "crow's feet" in the corners of the eyes.

There are two ways to address those bags under your eyes. One way is to make small incisions below the lashes on your lower eyelids, making scars virtually invisible. After the underlying fat and excess skin are removed, the incisions are closed with fine sutures designed to leave nearly invisible scars. Another way is to make the incision inside the lower eyelid. No skin is removed and the incision is closed with dissolving sutures. Your surgeon will decide which technique is best for you.
